gluten free apple crisp

Topping:

12 T Gluten Free flour mix
½ cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup white sugar
10 T butter or butter substitute
1 ½ cup finely chopped pecans
Mix dry ingredients together.
Cut butter in with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add chopped pecans and stir.
Refrigerate for 15 minutes while preparing apple filling.

Apple Filling:

1 – 3 lb bag Ida Red apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Slice apples into a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and mix together.
  3. Evenly distribute the topping over the apples.
  4. Bake at 375 for 40-50 minutes until top is brown and apples are bubbly.
