apple pie gluten free

Prepare one Gluten Free Pie Crust (or we like the Gluten Free Pantry Crust)

Filling:

8 medium thinly sliced Ida Red or Northern Spy apples
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup corn starch
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix together and place in pie crust.

Topping:
1 cup gluten free flour blend
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
Cut butter in with pastry blender until crumbly and pour on top of filling.

Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 50 minutes, checking after 20 minutes to see if top is getting to brown. If so, cover with foil and bake until filling is bubbly and apples are fork tender.
